How to Change Your MySpace Background

Changing your MySpace background can help you express your personal style on your page. Many websites offer backgrounds and searching other pages can give you ideas for redesigning your page. MySpace has a variety of backgrounds that you can use for free just by accessing a database and copying and pasting a code.

Instructions

1. Visit MySpace Layout Support and scroll down to the bottom of the screen to view the various pages of free backgrounds available (see Resources below). You can also use another source of backgrounds if you wish.

2. Copy the code for the background you want. The code should be located in the box next to the layout. Clicking once inside of the box will highlight the code, and all you have to do is select "Copy."

3. Log in to your MySpace account and click on the "Edit Profile" option on your "Home" page.

4. Locate the section that says "About Me" under the "Edit Profile" option. Scroll to the bottom of the section and paste the background code that you copied earlier.

5. Click on the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the screen, and then select the "View Profile" option to see your brand new MySpace background.

6. Go back to the "Edit Profile" option and delete the code if you want to change your background again. You are then free to insert another code to give your MySpace page another new look.

Tips & Warnings

• Be sure to click the "Save Changes" button once you have pasted the new background code into your "About Me" section.
• Use caution when using backgrounds from websites, as their backgrounds may have hidden fees or viruses.
