Slow and Prevent Wrinkles - Home Remedies

Age is something that simply cannot be stopped. But we can do all we can do to slow it down. Here are some simple techniques to slow down the signs of aging from wrinkles.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Wrinkles
  • Sunscreen
  • Vitamins
  • Lotion
  • Healthy Food
  • Water
  • Aloe Vera Gel
  1. Step 1

Stay out of the sun. Yes that tan makes you look great! But, is it worth looking like a wrinkled up old raisin later in life?

  2. Step 2

If you must go out in the sun for long periods of time, wear sunscreen.

  3. Step 3

Avoid tanning booths. Yes this too makes you look really good but, ten years from now when you have all those crows feet it may not be worth it.

  4. Step 4

Don't frown or squint a lot. If you have to squint to see, you may need to get some glasses or contact lenses. Constantly wrinkling your forehead or puckering those lips can do damage over time.

  5. Step 5

Be careful how you use that pillow you sleep on at night. Pressing your face into that pillow at night can cause wrinkles. Try to sleep on your back.

  6. Step 6

Exercise often. People who exercise have healthier, more elastic, thicker, and stronger skin than those who do not exercise. Exercise for 20 - 30 minutes most days of the week. You've probably noticed that exercise can make your skin flush - a sign that oxygen and nourishment in your blood are reaching the capillaries in your skin.

  7. Step 7

Eat right and get plenty of vitamins. Pile your plate with plenty of fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. These provide vitamins A,C and E - antioxidants that block harmful free radicals before they can cause skin damage. I you aren't able to eat good healthy food, take a multivitamin

  8. Step 8

Don't smoke if you can help it. Smoking is really really bad for your skin. You pucker mouth and lips alot when smoking which can cause alot of wrinkles. Smoking also decreases blood supply to the small blood vessels under your skin.

  9. Step 9

Use lots of moisturizer. Dampen your skin before applying moisturizing creams. Go ahead and massage your face with your fingertips whil you are doing this. Massaging will increase the blood flow to your face.

  10. Step 10

Drink plenty of water. This will keep your skin hydrated.

  11. Step 11

Exfoliate your skin twice weekly. This eliminates dead, dry skin cells, and encourages the production of healthy new cells.

  12. Step 12

Use fresh aloe vera gel. This contains malic acid. Cut off a leaf at the base. Slit it open. Scrape out the gel with a spoon, taking good care not to rupture the green rind, and apply to face with fingertips.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be sure to get plenty of vitamin D. The sunlight normally gives us our source of vitamin D so, you need to drink milk or take a multivitamin.
