Paper CD Sleeve
-
1
Press one or two flowers, preferably ones still left over from your wedding. Place the flowers inside the middle of a book, closing it and then placing more heavy books or a weight on top of it, to press the flower heads flat. Leave to press overnight.
-
2
Draw a rectangle on your piece of card or paper, using a pencil and ruler, measuring 5 1/4 inches by 10 1/2 inches. Measure 5 1/4 inches along the length of the paper and draw a dividing line across the paper width. Score along this line gently, using the edge of a pair of scissors, with the edge of the ruler as a guide. Don't press too hard with the scissors as you don't want to cut along the line. Fold the card or paper in half along the score line.

3
Glue along the two sides up from the fold with a glue stick. Glue only 1/8 inch along the side so you leave sufficient room for the CD. Stick the side edges together to create the CD sleeve. Leave the top side opposite the fold open.

4
Arrange and stick your pressed flowers onto the front of the sleeve. Glue on beads, sequins or small ribbon bows, if required. Use letter transfers to write on the cover. Cover in sticky-back plastic to keep the surface clean and protected.

Make your wedding CD sleeve cover design on your computer using Microsoft Word. Open a new document and go to the "page layout" tab, then click on "orientation" and select "landscape" so that the page width is longer than the page length. Adjust the paper size by clicking on "size" followed by "more paper sizes" and adjust the page setting to 4 3/4 inches by 4 3/4 inches. Choose "page color" to opt for a background color or to choose a background pattern or texture.

7
Write a title on your wedding CD sleeve, using the "word art" feature. Divide the page into two columns by clicking on "columns" in the "page layout" tab, Type the text in the right-hand column on the page.
-
8
Upload a suitable image that could be a wedding photo or a clip art image to embellish your cover sleeve. Edit the image by clicking on it and clicking the side bar to resize or to relocate its position within the page layout.
