Step 1
How to put a eye back on a fishing rod: First you will need some heavy
thread and some water proof glue. You can get glue made to do this at
a place that sells rods or maybe even a repaired kit. -
Step 2
The first thing
you need to do is tie the sewing thread around the rod with a sleep
knot. Then put a small coat of glue around the rod where the eye will
be placed. then put the eye on the rod and pull the thread over one end
of the eye. -
Step 3
Pull the sewing thread snug and then wrap the sewing thread around the
rod until the end of the eye is covered. continue to wrap it the same
way about four or five times.Some people like to wrap it more times.
then place glue over the top of it or you may use clear varnish then do
the other end the same way.
