Step 1
Prepare your foods the night before. You might have to pretend that you're working outside of the house and you have a set lunch hour. If you prepare healthy meals the night before, you won’t be tempted to raid the refrigerator at lunchtime.
-
Step 2
Make the kitchen off limits during work hours. If you're fortunate enough to work from a laptop, you can work anywhere. The one place you should not set up your office is in the kitchen. The temptation to nibble throughout the day is too know a great.
-
Step 3
Force yourself to exercise. Exercise is key when it comes to losing weight. Since you're not confined to the one hour or 45 minute lunch break doled out by employers, you can force yourself to go out for a walk or bike ride, run or swim. The exercise of choice is up to you, but just make sure you do it at least four days a week.
-
Step 4
Concentrate on your work. Most people that work from home do so because they are doing something that they enjoy doing. If you throw yourself into your work, you'll be too preoccupied to eat. Many times office workers nibble throughout the day because they’re bored and dissatisfied with their jobs.
-
Step 5
Keep healthy snacks. For the occasional pick me up after working long, keep healthy snacks such as fruits or veggies nearby. And avoid hired highly processed fat foods.
-
Step 6
Multitask. While talking on the phone, pump a little iron. Keep a couple of 5 or 10 pound dumb bells around.
