Things You'll Need:
- birth certificate
- Government issued ID/Drivers license
- passport application papers
- pen
- around 150$-200$
- a post office that has a passport office
- about 90days
- passport photo (most places one can be taken on site)
- knowledge of parents birth

Step 1
Obtain the passport application online or at the post office. Fill out completely truthfully. Call local Post Office to make a appointment for application. Take your: form, ID, Birth Certificate and money.

Step 2
Arrive at your appoointment about 10 mins early if possible. Be polite and accurrate, the officer will ask you a series of questions. Sign your form with your usual signature (this is very important because this will be a tool used to show authenticity). Have your picture taken if needed.

Step 3
You will pay around 150$-200$ depending if you need the passport ASAP or not. They WILL keep your Birth Certificate... but you WILL get it back in the mail. The time they tell you is around 2 months, depending on the load of passports requested. If you do NOT have your passport and are leaving soon, call the number they give you on the pamphlet.
