In search of autumn decorating ideas for your bathroom? Give your home a “pick me up” and achieve a fresh autumn look without draining the household budget. Draw inspiration from the picturesque fall landscape to decorate your bathroom this Autumn.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Search for hand towels and other bathroom basics (rugs, bath towels, etc.) in warm, inviting colors such as amber, chocolate, maroon and terra cotta. Look for bathroom accessories (tissue holder, wastebasket, etc.) in complimentary colors like bronze, champagne, gold and rust. Check out the resource section below for a list of bathroom essentials.

  2. Step 2

When trying to identify the perfect shower curtain, consider leaf prints and other fall-like patterns. Splurge on shower curtain hooks to match the décor. They are a small detail that will play a huge part in achieving your desired look.

  3. Step 3

To keep your bathroom smelling clean and fresh, place scented pinecones or potpourri in a small decorative basket on the back of the commode or on a shelf as an accent piece.

  4. Step 4

Look for cinnamon, ginger or pumpkin scented oils at the local discount store. If the packaging is attractive, display them on the edge of the sink or as a centerpiece between two sinks.

  5. Step 5

Tie it all together. Symbolic items such as miniature pumpkins are a nice finishing touch. Place them along with other items reminiscent of fall in a highly visible corner of the room. Your local craft store is a great place to start when looking for these items.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you’d like your autumn themed bathroom to be warm and inviting with a look that will last year round, decorate with paisley or plaid instead of leaf and pumpkin print items.
  • Select artwork in neutral earth tone colors. Choose prints and wall art that is versatile and can be used in various rooms throughout the year.
