These spooky little creatures are a great Halloween craft for kids parties. You can make one of these creepy critters for a pocket companion, or several to create a Halloween menagerie or a holiday mobile. They take next to no time to make, and the hardest part is waiting for them to dry so that you can start playing with them.
Cut out any ghost accessories that you want from the felt. You might cut out round buttons, little bow ties or hair bows. Make them small enough for your ghosts to wear them.
2
Spread out a large piece of wax paper. Make sure there is enough room on the wax paper for at least one ghost.
3
Squirt a glob of glue onto the wax paper. Use a lot of glue for a large ghost and less for a small one. Use a toothpick to shape the ghost and give it arms, legs or a head.
4
Decorate your ghost with the felt accessories, the pompoms and the google eyes. Place the accesories directly on top of the glue, but do so lightly so that they do not sink in and get covered by it.
5
Let the ghost dry for 48 hours. Keep it in a warm, dry place. Make sure that the glue is not at all sticky or squishy before you move on.
6
Peel the ghost off the wax paper. Be very careful not to tear your ghost or let the paper stick to the back. Once you have removed it from the paper, you have a fun holiday toy or decoration to play with.
Tips & Warnings
Hang your ghost by placing a loop of ribbon behind it before you squirt the glue onto the wax paper.
