When you have a Halloween party, you most likely leave out several candy dishes. You may also leave a candy dish out on your porch for Halloween trick or treaters. This year, you can take those ordinary looking candy dishes and turn them in to something spooky. How about a scary bat candy dish? This dish is really made out of an old soup can, but when finished, it will add a nice touch to any Halloween party.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Wash out an old soup can and give time to air dry. Make sure you have removed the label from the can.

  2. Step 2

Use the black paint and paint the soup can inside and out. Give the can a second coat if you can still see the metal through the paint.

  3. Step 3

Cut a circle out of some black construction paper.

  4. Step 4

    Cut the circle in half.

  5. Step 5

Cut along the straight edge of each half circle in a loop pattern, to give the bat some defined wings.

  6. Step 6

Glue one wing to each side of the soup can.

  7. Step 7

Use white paint to give the bat some eyes and those all-important fangs.

  8. Step 8

Allow the paint and glue time to dry.

  9. Step 9

    Place treats inside the cup.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use super glue to help the wings stay in place.
  • Lay out some newspapers so you don't ruin any table tops.
