How to Download an Application on an iTouch
With the new platforms and advances in iPod technology, it is possible to get user-created applications for the iPhone and the iTouch. Downloading them comes straight from the Apple Store and is managed through iTunes.

Activate the iPhone or iTouch and touch the icon that says "App Store." The icon is blue with a triangle in the middle with a circle around it.

Choose which category you want to browse. The categories are "Featured," "Categories," "Top 25," "Search" and "Update." The "Featured" category is for applications chosen by the Apple company as their top choices. The "Categories" button is to browse between the types of applications, such as books, games and utilities. The "Top 25" tab allows you to browse between the top 25 downloaded free and paid applications.

Click the name of the application you want to download to go to the detailed view. Here there is more information about the application and all of the particulars that go with it, such as what it does and what it contains.

Begin the download for the application by pushing the button in the top right of the screen that will either say "Free" or have a price. This button will fade away, and a new button will appear that says "Install."

Touch the "Install" button to begin obtaining the application. At this point, the application store will ask you to put in your iTunes account information, this will be your email address and the password that you have set up with iTunes.

Open the application when it is done downloading and follow instructions that are contained within the application.

Tips & Warnings
A quicker way to download an application is to download it to iTunes and sync the iTouch or iPhone with iTunes, putting the application on the device.
New applications are being added all the time, so check back often to see what new applications are available.
If the iTouch is not connected to a wireless network, it will not be able to access the Apple Store.
