Step 1
1. Plug power cord into back of sidewinder (or insert 2 AA batteries).

2. Lift up the plastic spindle the thread spool sits on to extend it (it raises up).

3. Place thread on spindle. Follow the arrows on your machine...pass thread through hole before tension disk...then around disk...

4. ...run the end of the thread up through the hole of the bobbin...

Step 5
5. ...place bobbin onto winding shaft...the spring should click into place...if not, twist the bobbin gently until it does.

Step 6
6. Plug SideWinder in.

Step 7
7. Press green "on" button...bobbin will automatically stop winding when it is full.

Step 8
Cut thread. Remove spool and bobbin...unplug.

on 10/9/2008 I got mine at Walmart for about $25.00. There are in the sewing machine aisle. They save a lot of wear on your sewing machine and wind a bobbin in seconds! Mine works great! These have been out for at least a year, I believe...I recommend them!

on 10/9/2008 Thanks! I've been sewing for over 40 years on basic machines and just now upgraded to one with some fancy stitches, but I have to ask you, WHEN did this gadget come out? And....WHERE can I get one? haha I can't believe I've never seen this. How handy! THANKS!!
