Lost your Sidewinder instructions? I'm here to the rescue!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    1. Plug power cord into back of sidewinder (or insert 2 AA batteries).

  2. Step 2

    2. Lift up the plastic spindle the thread spool sits on to extend it (it raises up).

  3. Step 3

    3. Place thread on spindle. Follow the arrows on your machine...pass thread through hole before tension disk...then around disk...

  4. Step 4

    4. ...run the end of the thread up through the hole of the bobbin...

  5. Step 5

    5. ...place bobbin onto winding shaft...the spring should click into place...if not, twist the bobbin gently until it does.

  6. Step 6

    6. Plug SideWinder in.

  7. Step 7

    7. Press green "on" button...bobbin will automatically stop winding when it is full.

  8. Step 8

Cut thread. Remove spool and bobbin...unplug.

on 10/9/2008 I got mine at Walmart for about $25.00. There are in the sewing machine aisle. They save a lot of wear on your sewing machine and wind a bobbin in seconds! Mine works great! These have been out for at least a year, I believe...I recommend them!

on 10/9/2008 Thanks! I've been sewing for over 40 years on basic machines and just now upgraded to one with some fancy stitches, but I have to ask you, WHEN did this gadget come out? And....WHERE can I get one? haha I can't believe I've never seen this. How handy! THANKS!!
