  • 1/2 pound of butter
  • 1 3/4 cup sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 cup flour, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

      Preheat the oven to 325 F. Prepare the loaf pan by greasing.

      Cream the butter and sugar thoroughly.

      Add the eggs, one at a time. Beat the mixture well between each egg.

      Add the salt and then the flour gradually while beating.

      Add the vanilla.

      Pour mixture into prepared loaf pan and bake at 325 F for 55 minutes or until cake pulls away from the side of the pan.
