How to Make a Paper Plate Spider Web
Kids love to make arts and crafts at Halloween. It provides just as much excitement as dressing up in a costume. There are all kinds of creepy crafts that are both scary and messy to make, but this craft focuses on a person's fear of spiders. It teaches children how to make a spider web out of a paper plate and some yarn. Add a few fake spiders and you are ready to give someone a really good scare.

1
Paint a paper plate black. You only need to paint the front of it.
-
2
Set the plate out to dry and do not continue until the paint has dried all the way. This should take a little less than two hours.

3
Punch a hole in the center of the paper plate with your hole puncher. Then punch six holes around the edges of the paper plate.
-
4
Tie a knot at the end of a piece of yarn and thread through the hole in the middle so that the knot is under the bottom. Thread the yarn from the middle to each of the six holes and back again. Then tie in a knot underneath the plate and cut off any excess.
-
5
Add a piece of tape to the knots underneath so that they don't come loose.
-
6
Make the circular parts of the spider web. Tie a piece of yarn to a piece of yarn that is closer to the middle. String it to the next piece of yarn going all the way around the circle. Tie in a knot when you get back to your starting point. Repeat this step a little closer to the end of the paper plate. Then you should have two circular patterns.

Glue a spider anywhere on the spider web that you want. You can even glue more than one spider or glue on an insect that the spider has captured.
