In between the rows of reel slots, video slots, novelty slots and penny slots at many casinos are a collection of video poker slots. Video poker offers more interactive features than other slots and tends to be popular among players. If you are new to gambling or have avoided the poker slots in the past, they are simple to learn and easy to master the first time you play them. You could hit the royal flush and walk out of the casino a winner.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find a slot machine that you want to play at. When people look for slot machines, some choose machines they have a good feeling about and others just pick any open seat. Decide what you want to do and go from there.

  2. Step 2

Put your casino rewards card and money into the machine. Many casinos offer reward cards to keep track of players and give them rewards points. Make sure you insert this card first so that you get all of your rewards points.

  3. Step 3

Look at the screen and use your finger to press the button that says “More Games”. Almost all video poker machines are touch screen so it makes it easier to operate.

  4. Step 4

Choose one of the poker games. As a standard, video poker games will include “Jacks or Better”, “Deuces Wild”, “Double Bonus Poker”, “Double Aces and Faces”, “Joker Poker” and “Multi-Hand Poker”. They will also include some form of video Keno as well.

  5. Step 5

Play “Jacks or Better”. This game is the most basic of video poker. You are dealt 5 cards once you make your bet. In all video poker games, you can bet 1 through 5 credits. The amount that a credit is equal is listed on the front of the machine. The average is usually a quarter. Hold the best cards you have and press “Deal” to finish the hand. If you have a pair or jacks or better, then you have won credits. This is the same as “Double Aces and Faces,” except some of the payouts are less in “Double Aces and Faces” because there are more high cards.

  6. Step 6

Play “Deuces Wild”. This is the same as “Jacks or Better,” except that any 2 is a wild card. Only three of a kind or better pays out in this game. “Joker Poker” is like “Deuces Wild,” except it pays out for kings or better and all the jokers are wild in the game.

  7. Step 7

Play “Double Bonus Poker.” In this game, if you bet on max credits and hit the royal flush, then you are awarded double the usual jackpot from other games.

  8. Step 8

Play “Multi-Hand Poker”. Only certain machines feature this game that uses all of your cards from one hand and distributes them to up to one hundred hands at one time. This is the most complicated poker game, but it is easy to learn.

  9. Step 9

Press the “Double Up” button when you have won a hand. This allows you to play a bonus game where you can double the amount of chips that you have won. A card is displayed on the screen. There are four face-down cards, and you must pick one that is higher than the one displayed to double up.
