The goal in the Dirty Deals card game is to collect all six cards in one of the four suits. The first player to do this can end the game and win the hand. The goal is to collect these six cards by winning tricks, and collect as few additional cards as possible. Any cards other than the six cards of the one suit in a player's hand reduce his score. These guidelines will come in handy the next time you play this game.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Deck of playing cards
  • Pen or pencil
  • Pad of paper
  1. Step 1

Find three opponents to play the Dirty Deals card game against. The Dirty Deals card game was designed for exactly four players.

  2. Step 2

Remove all the twos through eights from a standard deck of playing cards, as well as the jokers. Shuffle the deck and deal six cards to each player.

  3. Step 3

Allow each player to look at his cards. Inform each player that the goal of the Dirty Deals card game is to collect the cards nine through the Ace in a single suit. Cards can be acquired by winning tricks.

  4. Step 4

Direct the player sitting to the left of the dealer to lead any card that she wishes for the first trick. Players then play in turn, and a trick is won by the highest card played in the suit that was led. The only exception to this is if a player has no cards in the suit led, but plays the jack from the opposite suit of the same color of the suit that was led. This is considered a trump card and defeats any other cards played to the trick. The player that wins the trick then adds the cards to her hand and leads the first card for the next trick. That player cannot lead the same card that was led to start the previous trick.

  5. Step 5

Declare holding a full set to end the hand. This can only be done when a player has a full set, of the nine through the Ace of a single suit within his hand. He may have additional cards in his hand other than those six cards. The only time a player can declare he has a full set is after winning a trick, and before he leads to start the next trick.

  6. Step 6

Score the hand after a player declares and displays her full set of cards. That player is the only one that receives points for the hand. She receives nine points, with one point deducted for any cards that she holds in addition to the set of six cards she reveals to end the hand.

  7. Step 7

Collect the cards and deal a new hand of the Dirty Deals card game. Continue playing until one player reaches a pre-determined total, or a pre-determined number of deals have been played.

Tips & Warnings
  • If a player plays a trump card and it is later discovered that he had a card in the suit led, that player loses 10 points.
