Watermelon Sad Face
Watermelon Sad Face

Make a sad face using watermelon and a apple. This is a great project for a kid to help out and use as the centerpiece for a kid's birthday party.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Watermelon (preferably seedless)
  • Apple (peeled)
  • Knife
  • Lemon Juice
  1. Step 1

Slice a whole watermelon in half. Then cut one complete slice in a circular motion. Try to keep the slice round and smooth.

  2. Step 2

Cut 2 small circles, and 1 triangle shape piece of the apple. Cut a 4th piece of the apple in a half moon shape.

  3. Step 3

Coat the apple pieces with lemon juice to minimize discoloration.

  4. Step 4

Place the two circular pieces equal distance apart on the watermelon to represent the eyes. Place the triangle piece below the eyes to represent the nose.

  5. Step 5

Then take the curved pieced and place it below the nose in a downward turn, ensuring the arc is on top.

Tips & Warnings
  • To turn this into a smiley face, turn the curved piece with the arc downward.
