How to Make a Sad Face Using Watermelon

Make a sad face using watermelon and a apple. This is a great project for a kid to help out and use as the centerpiece for a kid's birthday party.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Watermelon (preferably seedless)
• Apple (peeled)
• Knife
• Lemon Juice

1. Slice a whole watermelon in half. Then cut one complete slice in a circular motion. Try to keep the slice round and smooth.

2. Cut 2 small circles, and 1 triangle shape piece of the apple. Cut a 4th piece of the apple in a half moon shape.

3. Coat the apple pieces with lemon juice to minimize discoloration.

4. Place the two circular pieces equal distance apart on the watermelon to represent the eyes. Place the triangle piece below the eyes to represent the nose.

5. Then take the curved pieced and place it below the nose in a downward turn, ensuring the arc is on top.

Tips & Warnings

• To turn this into a smiley face, turn the curved piece with the arc downward.
