Peace lily plants are a popular choice for houseplants. Their thick, dark green foliage brings warmth to any indoor space. When cared for properly, your peace lily can thrive for many years.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Watering can
  1. Step 1

Water your peace lily thoroughly. Make sure you distribute the water evenly at the soil surface. Add enough water to soak through the soil to the roots, but not enough that the soil is soggy and the roots are sitting in water.

  2. Step 2

Watch your peace lily. When the leaves begin to droop, it is time to water again.

  3. Step 3

Insert your finger into the soil to get an idea of how dry the soil is. Add enough water to thoroughly moisten the soil

  4. Step 4

Determine the average time (days) it takes for the leaves of your peace lily to begin to droop. This is the watering schedule necessary for your peace lily.

Tips & Warnings
  • Peace lilies typically require a lot of water. The amount your peace lily needs will vary according to the size of the plant and the size of the pot.

on 12/4/2008 Good advice. I have one and it's very difficult to take care of it. You also have to give them some sun each day. Good tips!
