I love to see things I create out of nothing much. I love recycling and arts and crafts. This is a cute item you can do with everyday things around the house. All you need is imagination and creativity. Makes tons of fun for children. Can even be given as a gift.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Coffee Jar with Lid
  • Aquarium odds/ends
  • Glue Gun or good adhesive
  • Colored rocks
  • Shells
  • Greenery
  • Picture wire

Get the items you want in your jar. Get the glue gun ready and engage your imagination.

  2. Step 2

Put hole in fin of fish(es)

Punch hole in plastic fish (if you have them)in the fins with sharp round object (not a knife) and thread the picture wire about 6" long in the hole. Do this for all items or plan to just put them in the jar.

  3. Step 3

Glue each wired fish to lid of jar upside down so it will hang in jar. Set aside.

  4. Step 4

Put in greenery, shells, rocks and anything you want it your jar. Arrange them to look like a fish tank would. Place lid on to see what you have. If it looks like what you want, fill jar with water and close lid and stand back and admire your creation!

Tips & Warnings
  • Choose any jar you want or even a large clear bowl with lid.
  • Your creation is all yours!
  • Children will love it!
  • Be careful with the glue guns around small children.

on 10/12/2008 Wonderful project for children. And, with larger jars, adults can participate in the fun as well.
