Mmm...Delicious!

We all have Thanksgiving leftovers and most of us are always wondering in what new ways we can use them. Here is a great way to use the vegetables, potatoes, gravy and meat to give your leftovers some new zest!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Turkey (or chicken) diced up
  • Vegetables: whatever you like (peas, corn, green beans and/or carrots)
  • Unbaked crescent rolls (You will need 2 unbaked crescents unrolled to make one pie)
  • Gravy
  1. Step 1

Open two cans of crescent roll dough, the kind you find in your grocery store's refrigerated section. Unroll the dough on to two sheet pans.

  2. Step 2

The dough is cut into triangular shapes. Remove two triangle sections so you have a square of dough. Be sure to smooth together the area where the two triangles meet so you're left with a solid square of dough. Follow this step until you have used up all of the dough from the two canisters.

  3. Step 3

Next, take your leftover meat -- turkey, chicken or whatever you fancy -- and make a small mound in the center of the dough square.

  4. Step 4

Add two tablespoons each of peas and corn to the mound. Drizzle about a tablespoon of gravy over the meat and vegetables, but keep the gravy away from the edges of the dough.

  5. Step 5

Carefully fold one side of the dough over the mound so that both ends line up. Use a fork or your fingers to seal the outer edges of the dough.

  6. Step 6

Bake it in a 375 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.

  7. Step 7

While the dough pockets are baking, start heating up your leftover mashed potatoes either in the microwave or on the range.

  8. Step 8

Once everything is finished cooking, plate it up and enjoy! Your family will surely love this fresh take on Thanksgiving leftovers!

Tips & Warnings
  • Be sure to wait a few minutes before digging in to the pockets. The inside will be very hot fresh out of the oven!
