Step 1
If you working with power tools make sure that they are free of dust and grease.
-
Step 2
The next thing you want to do is check all of your electrical outlets. You want to avoid overloading circuits so redistribute the power to more than one outlet.
-
Step 3
You always want to make sure that the equipment you are using is well grounded.
-
Step 4
Make sure that you are using the right fuse for the job. You don't want to overheat machinery. Doing this can cause electrical failure and fire damage.
-
Step 5
Never keep flammables near electrical machinery or lights. Any kind of spark or ignition source can cause the flammable materials to ignite.
-
Step 6
Always check your wiring for wear and tear.
