How to Make Brownies

Looking for something more ambitious than making brownies using a packet mix or just heating store bought brownies? Here is a great recipe that will tasty brownies every time!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2oz Plain flour
  • 8oz Caster sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3tbsp Chocolate powder
  • 2oz Butter/margarine
  1. Step 1

    Weigh out 8oz of caster sugar and mix in two eggs
    In a separate bowl, weigh out 2 oz of plain flour and 3 tablespoons of chocolate powder.
    Melt 2oz of butter/margarine

  2. Step 2

    Pour the melted butter into the sugar and egg mixture
    Stir until the butter is part of the mixture
    Sift in the flour and cocoa-powder a little at a time

  3. Step 3

    Add extras if desired. When the mixture is complete, you can add chocolate drops or other extras if you wish.
    Pour the mixture into a baking tray about an inch deep, (making sure to line it with baking paper first)
    Put the tray on the middle shelf of the oven

  4. Step 4

    Clean up. Whilst you are waiting for the brownies to cook, you could wash up the mess you have just made.
    Remove from oven. When the brownies are cooked, remove them from the oven and leave them to cool.

  5. Step 5

    On cooling, cut them into bite-size chunks.

Tips & Warnings
  • Put more eggs or add some water to make brownies more moist. Don't over cook them.
