Things You'll Need:
- 1 1/2 cups carrots cut into matchstick-size pieces (do it yourself or go buy a bag of pre-matchsticked carrots in the produce section of your grocery store. No need to worry about the exact measuremen
- 1 T dark sesame oil
- pinch of red pepper flakes
- 1 T soy sauce
- 1 t sesame seeds
-
Step 1
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and once hot enough, pour on the sesame oil.
-
Step 2
Add the carrots and toss around until they become tender but still crisp. This takes around 3-4 minutes.
-
Step 3
Add the red pepper flakes and toss well.
-
Step 4
Add the soy sauce and toss again.
-
Step 5
Add the sesame seeds towards the end and give one last good toss.
-
Step 6
Not the best thing to eat hot, but is perfect at room temperature, which makes it a good option to put in packed lunches. Refrigerate until ready to eat.
