How to Get Money Back From Manufacturer's Rebates

Catalogs, Sunday sales circulars and mail order advertisements are covered with rebates offering customers money back after purchasing their product. This is a great insensitive for people to buy a product, but many manufactures report that only about half of the eligible customers will send in the rebate form. And of those who do send in the rebate for only about three fourths will receive their rebate. The applicant's who do not receive the rebate is due to lack of following guidelines.

1. If you are choosing to buy a product just because the of the rebate, make sure to ask the store clerk or email the website if you have any questions. Do not assume that everyone is able to redeem all rebates, some rebates have geographical locations.

2. When filling out the rebate request make sure all fields are completed. Many rebates are not honored due to applicants leaving blanks and giving incorrect information. By the time a applicant finds out the form is not excepted, it may be to late to resubmit application.

3. Complete and send rebate as soon as possible to avoid missing deadlines. To speed up the process use online applications when possible.

4. Make sure to keep a copy of the rebate application to refer to when needed. Make the top with the date you sent the original application for your records.
