How to make homemade limoncello

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 750 ml of Grain alcohol
  • 10 small lemons
  • 600 ml of water
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • a boiling pot
  • container to hold 1350 ml of mixture
  • cutting tool to potatoe peeler
  1. Step 1

    1. Pour 750 ml of grain alcohol into container.
    2. Peel rinds of 10 small lemons and place rinds into container with grain alcohol.
    3. Set in a cool dark place, (under sink) for about 2 weeks.

  2. Step 2

    4. After week 2, bring 600 ml of water to a boil.
    5. Add 2 cups of sugar to water and continue to boil until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat.
    6. Strain rinds from grain alcohol - keep grain alcohol - dispose of rinds.
    7. Pour water/sugar mixture into grain alcohol.
    8. Distribute to bottles and freeze.

  3. Step 3

    9. Ready to serve next day.
