Decorate a Spider Cupcake for Halloween

Making cupcakes for Halloween is a tradition in my house. This decorative tip is sure to jazz up any old plain cupcake and make it "Spooky".

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Chocolate cupcakes
  • Chocolate icing
  • Chocolate sprinkles
  • 2 pieces of flat candy that could mimic eyes
  • Black string licorice
  • Clean scissors
  • Ruler
  1. Step 1

Frost the cupcakes with the chocolate icing. This is the body of the spider.

  2. Step 2

Cover the cupcakes with the chocolate sprinkles, these will serve as fur or hair for the spiders.

  3. Step 3

Press the eye shaped candies, (could use white icing to draw tem on as well) into the cupcakes.

  4. Step 4

Take the scissors and cut 4-inch pieces off of the licorice, these will serve as the legs. Hold all of the legs together to form a bunch and then bend them in half forming a crease. Take each end and punch them into the cupcake.
