Things You'll Need

  • (4) 8 oz. containers assorted mushrooms (e.g. criminis, baby bellos, shiitake, oyster)
  • 1/2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
  • Leaves from 2 thyme sprigs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • White truffle oil

Instructions

      Clean mushrooms with water and a paper towel, then slice. Or purchase pre-sliced to make it easier. Heat olive oil and garlic in a large nonstick pan over a medium flame, then add all the mushrooms.

      Increase heat to medium high and saute without stirring until mushrooms are browned.

      Turn mushrooms over and repeat.

      Add thyme leaves, season with salt and pepper and drizzle with truffle oil.

Tips & Warnings

  • If contents of the pan are disturbed in Step 2, the mushrooms will be soggy as opposed to crisp. Resist the temptation to stir!
