How to Treat Allergies with Herbs

Herbal treatments can be an effective method to reduce the symptoms of allergies.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    ASTRAGALUS- Taking 500 milligrams a day for a month before allergy season can strengthen your body and make it resistant to allergies. Please do not take this if you have a fever or any other symptoms of an infection.

  2. Step 2

    ECHINACEA AND GOLDENSEAL- If you have colored mucus then you may have an infection on take of your allergy. Taking 250 to 500 milligrams of echinacea and 150 to 300 milligrams of goldenseal two to three times a day for a week can help.

  3. Step 3

    TEA- A tea of thyme and licorice can help clear your nose and relieve congestion.

  4. Step 4

    NETTLE- This can be very effective drying out and clearing your nose if taken in a dosage of approximately 150 to 500 milligrams approximately two to three times a day. Please try a very weak tea initially and discontinue if you get an upset stomach.

  5. Step 5

    TUMERIC- Taking 500 milligrams three times a day can help ease the inflammation caused by allergies.
