How to Exercise While Watching TV
Sitting around in front of the TV no longer has to be a waste of time. It can be made more useful by exercising while watching.

One of easiest ways is to sit in a rocking chair and rock back and forth. For more impact, use your legs to push the chair back. Don't overkill pushing with the legs as you don't want to end up on the floor.

Buy an exercise bike and face the front toward the TV. Watch the TV while peddling. If you need to sit comfortably buy a pedal exerciser instead--a mini cheaper version of a bike that consists of pedals on a frame.

Any exercise equipment can be used as long as you can face the TV with it. Stepping devices, Nordic Tracks, etc. are good devices.

If there is music on the program, dance along to it. You can also do what I call dancing while sitting by move your body or feet to the time of the music. You don't have to be fancy, it's not an audition.

Do simple execises like marching, running in place, stretches, jumping rope, etc. while watching.

The other way has been around for years. Try watching an exercise video or program and imitate what they are doing.
