Ready to choose nail art designs? Here are some tips to make the selection process easier.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1
    Natural nails with butterflies (christiesnails.com)

Take a good look at your nails. If your nails are short you are limited in your selection of nail art designs. You may want to consider getting acrylic nails.

  2. Step 2
    Airbrush Machine

Decide which technique for nail art designs works with your budget. You can do nail art designs at home (see my How to Do Nail Art Designs). Or go to a salon to have your nail art designs done with airbrushing, handpainting or other techniques. Airbrush machines are available for home use for around $200 (see resources).

  3. Step 3

If you want a classic nail art design, the french manicure is always classy and in style.

  4. Step 4

You may want to pick a design that reflects your mood for the day. Feeling glitzy? Choose nail art designs with glitter, rhinestones, decals, foils, lace, metallics or even a nail piercing.

  5. Step 5

Consider matching your nail art designs to a pattern you like; ie zebra stripes, a wallpaper etc. or what you are wearing.

For holidays you may want to choose patterns that blend with the season.
What could be more festive than decorating the Christmas tree with poinsetta and glitter nail art? Why not some sweet red hearts and bows for Valentines Day.

  7. Step 7

Graduating? Going to a special football game and want to support your team? Use colors, numbers and words on your fingertips to show your spirit. Going on vacation? Little nail art designs to show your destination are fun and cute.

  8. Step 8

You can match your toes to your nails. Keep your toes simple or go in a totally different direction.

  9. Step 9

Whatever nail art designs you choose just remember to treat your nails as jewels not tools to protect and enjoy the nail art designs longer.

Tips & Warnings
