- a pumpkin
- a knife
- a spoon
- a candle
- a bowl

Step 1
First thing you have to do is pick out a pumpkin. Once you have your pumpkin, you want to take your knife and cut a circle around the stem about 3 inches.

next you want to take a spoon and take out the guts of the pumpkin. just scoop it out the inside until you reach the non mushy part of the pumpkin. Put all of the innards inside of the bowl. Then take your spoon and scoop out a crater to put your candle, so that it won't tip over.

Step 3
Then take a marker and draw the design you want on the face of the pumpkin. Then take your knife and cut out your design. Once your done cutting out your design, take your candle and put it inside of your crater you dug out earlier. lite the candle then put it on your porch. it's a great prop for trick-or-treaters to look at. Or a fun activity to do with the kids.
