You have, say, two desserts. Which do you choose first?

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A discriminating palate
  1. Step 1

Decide on the Best One - Which do you like better? Call that one "Best" and the other one "Good."

  2. Step 2

Eat the Best One - You'll enjoy it more because it's the Best and because you still have a spare to look forward to.

  3. Step 3

Eat the OTHER Best One (that's right) - As it's the only one remaining it automatically gets promoted from "Good" to "The Best of What's Left" giving you, in effect, two Bests. [Whereas if you start with the "Good" then you'll just be killing time to get to the "Best," which will lose points through unfair expectations and it's status as a leftover giving you, in effect, two Worsts.]

Tips & Warnings
  • Savor them in their proper order, but rest assured you get All Of The Above. No hard choices here.

on 10/18/2008 Exactly right. That's why the determination of "best" is up to each person. Thanks for the note.
