Oh drinking games, how we love thee. "Circle of Death" is a drinking game for 3+ players that want an enjoyable game to pass time, have a few laughs, and acquire a nicely sized buzz.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Deck of cards
  • 3+ players
  • Choice of alcohol
  1. Step 1

    Set the table.
The rules for values are slightly complicated, however setting up the game is a cinch. Take a shuffled deck of cards (removing jokers and instruction cards) and lay them face down on the table. Now fan them into a circle, and you are done. That's the simplest part of this game.
The game is played by having the first player pull a single card from the circle, flip it onto the table face up, and suffer it's consequence. The player clockwise repeats. Repeat 52 times until all cards have been run thru.

  2. Step 2

    Know your cards.
This is where it gets interesting. Each card value holds a different reward, curse, or comedic event. Knowing these cards and what they mean can save you from a few drinks, and in this game you need every break you can get. Here is the breakdown of each card value, title, and a brief description of the action carried out. (More Details in STEP 3)
    2 - "Is for you"
The player chooses an opponent to drink 2.
    3 - "Is for me"
    The player drinks 3.
    4 - "Floor" / "Floor master"
The last thumb on the table drinks.
    5 - "Guys"
    Every male takes a drink.
    6 - "Chicks"
    Every female takes a drink.
    7 - "Heaven" / "Sky Master"
Last hand in the sky drinks.
8 - "The Great Moose Master"
Player can "Moose" at any time. Last to follow suit drinks.
    9 - "Rhyme Time"
Start a rhyme. Take too long or can't and you drink.
    10 - "Categories"
Pick category. List items. Take too long or can't and you drink.
    J - "Never Have I Ever" / "N.H.I.E."
Player says "N.H.I.E. ___". Players that have ___, drink.
    Q - "Questions"
Questions only. First answer or statement drinks.
    K - "Waterfall"
You don't stop drinking until the guy on your left does.
    A - "Make a Rule, Break a Rule" / "Rule Master"
Create any rule or disband a rule previously made.

  3. Step 3

More details inside. (Expansion on the tricky ones.)
    4 - "Floor" / "Floor master"
Once a 4 is pulled, every player must place thier thumb on the edge of the game table. The last person to do so drinks.
    7 - "Heaven" / "Sky Master"
Once a 7 is pulled, every player must raise thier hand into the air. The last person to do so drinks.
8 - "The Great Moose Master"
Once the 8 is pulled, AT ANY TIME the player can make "moose antlers" with thier hands yelling "MOOSE!" making every other player to do the same. The last person to do so drinks. The next 8 drawn revokes the previous one, and the honor is passed on to the new Moose Master.
    9 - "Rhyme Time"
The player that drew 9 will say a word, phrase, or sentence. The opponent clock-wise must then reply with a rhyming word, phrase, or sentence. This goes around until a player repeats a rhyme or cannot think of one, and then must drink.
    10 - "Categories"
The player that drew 10 will state a category and name one item included in said category. The opponent clock-wise must then reply with another item in said category. This goes around until a player repeats an item or cannot think of one, and then must drink. (example: 80's cartoons - thundercats, smurfs, g.i.joe, transformers, etc...)
    J - "Never Have I Ever" / "N.H.I.E."
The player that drew J states "Never have I ever _______". The blank should be filled with something that the player has never done, yet with an act one or more opponents have commited. Those that have commited said act must drink. A woman might say "Never have I ever dated a 'Sarah'", where as a guy might say "N.H.I.E. french braided my hair". (A fun way to play is to go around the table, having each player throw out a N.H.I.E.)
    Q - "Questions"
After the Q is flipped, all players may only speak in the form of a question. The first person to answer or speak with a declaritive statement must drink. This is the easiest way to prey on those not paying attention. Always a good one: "Anyone want a beer while I'm up?"
    K - "Waterfall"
After the K is flipped, take a minute to refresh your glasses or grab another beer. After that, everyone cheers and begins drinking. The player that pulled the K is the first to stop, and you can't stop until the person on your left stops.
    A - "Make a Rule, Break a Rule" / "Rule Master"
Make any rule. Outlaw words, dance, sing, whatever. Anyone that breaks the rule (rule maker included), drinks.

  4. Step 4

Sample Rules: the elusive yet hilarious possibilities.
    1. "Ban on Drink, Drank, and Drunk": These three words will not be spoken.
    2. "No cussing/swearing"
    3. "Sing everything": Sing everything instead of speaking.
    4. "End word word": The last word of every statement must be said twice twice.
    5. "No 1st or 2nd person": Only 3rd person is allowed.
    6. "Green man": Imaginary green man on glass. You must pick him off your glass with every drink, and remember to put him back on after.
