Things You'll Need:
- hair products
- patience

Step 1
Do not shampoo your hair every day. Curly hair tends to be much dryer than regular hair, and shampooing dries hair out, even if you follow with conditioner. Shampoo once or twice a week, and every other time you wet your hair, use only conditioner. For both shampoo and conditioner, look for products that say extra moisturizing.
-
Step 2
Brush or comb your hair only when it is wet, not when it is dry. Brushing breaks of the curls and creates frizz.
-
Step 3
Shortly after you get out of the shower, use a leave-in conditioner or cream in your hair. Your hair cannot get enough moisture!!!
-
Step 4
After the product is applied, twist 1 inch sections of your hair around your finger all the way. This will create chunkier curls (you can alter how big the curls are by what size chunk you take at a time. This process should only take 5-10 minutes. When you are finished, you may want to use a tiny bit of gel by rubbing it on both hands and scrunching the curls.
-
Step 5
Air dry your hair. It's best for it. If you need it to dry quicker use a diffuser, which is an attachment for your hair dryer.
-
Step 6
If your hair starts getting frizzy and needs a boost, fill a plant spritzer with water, and a little of your leave-in conditioner and mist you hair. Scrunch the curls up with your hand, and they should be looking great again.
