Irritable bowel syndrome is a very common disorder with recurrent abdominal pain and diarrhea alternating with constipation.

IBS may be caused by a disturbance in the muscle movement in the large intestine, triggered by anxiety, stress, or food intolerance. IBS affects more women than men.

    *Take acidophilus to encourage the growth of healthy bacteria
    *A deficiency of zinc and B6 is indicated in many cases
    *Dietary fiber helps to detoxify
    *Include plenty of fiber in diet-helps body get rid of harmful toxins
