How to Make A French Loaf Into An Herb Loaf.

This loaf is a perfect companion for salad or pasta.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • loaf French bread
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1/4 cup parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • liberal sprinkle of salt and pepper
  1. Step 1

    Heat oven to 350 degrees.

    Slice the bread diagonally into very thick slices (about 1 1/2 inches)but do not cut through the bottom crust.

  2. Step 2

    Cream the butter with all the other ingredients.

    Spread mixture on both cut surfaces of the slices of bread.

  3. Step 3

    Wrap loaf tightly in foil, and place on baking sheet.

    Heat in oven for about 15 minutes or until hot.

    Serve. Enjoy!
