Instead of paying an installation fee for a new battery, you can just do it yourself! Changing a battery in the Mercury Villager is one of the simplest automobile procedures to do. Purchase a new battery and follow the steps below to successfully install it.

Things You'll Need:

  • A New Battery
  1. Step 1

    MAKE SURE THE CAR IS OFF! Loosen the bolts on the battery harness and disconnect the cables connected to the positive and negative terminals (negative first).

  2. Step 2

    Pull the battery out of the car.

  3. Step 3

    Place the new battery in the car.

  4. Step 4

    Reconnect the cables to the terminals. **Make sure they are on all the way**

  5. Step 5

    Put the bolts back in the harness and close the hood. Your done!
