Things You'll Need:
-
Step 1
For shorter / petite brides: Try A-line or any wedding dress that simple. It will elongate your figure.
Things to avoid: ball gown, puffy sleeves, too much accessories, lots of lace -
Step 2
For slender / tall brides: Try almost anything, you have a model's figure!
Things to avoid: avoid sometime that fits very tight. It will make you look really tall and skinny. -
Step 3
For plus size: Try empire waist dress that flow from the bust instead of the waist; it will make your look smaller and hind anything that you don't want people to see. Also try princess seams or A-line.
Things to avoid: shiny fabric, lots of beads or embroidery, ball gown (it will make you look really big). -
Step 4
For broad shoulders: pay attention to the neckline. Try strapless or scoop necks. Small accessories work best with broad shoulders.
Things to avoid: halter necks -
Step 5
Neckline tips: Avoid strapeless or sweetheart necklines when you have flat chest. Avoid asymmetric or off the shoulder necklines when you have broad shoulders. The scoop neckline is almost great for anyone.
-
Step 6
To pick the perfect dress, you will need to try on a lot of them. The perfect wedding dress should flatter you.

on 10/4/2009 Most important thing is to have the correct fitting undergarments - especially the bra. USE all-over figure slimmers, if needed. They are NOT uncomfortable - but sucking in your gut all day will be very nasty. Likely, your groom has already seen you naked plenty of times, so don't panic that when you undress and the slimmer is removed, the groom will faint dead away. And, if he hasn't seen you undressed it's about time he did - trust me, sexual mis-matches DO account for a portion of unhappy marriages and even divorces!

on 10/7/2008 Great wedding dress tips! Since all eyes are focused on the bride on her wedding day, it is very important that she choose a dress not based solely on the design; but also she has to make sure it compliments her figure.
