After your baby arrives, and you loose a few pregnancy pounds you may still need additional clothes since you are breastfeeding. Do not feel that you have to wear ugly cotton or starch fabrics with weird vertical cut outs.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Shop for breastfeeding tops.

  2. Step 2

Look for layering camisole with shelf bra in comfortable fabrics.

  3. Step 3

Buy a few of these stretchy comfortable tops in at least 2 to 3 colors that match your current wardrobe.

  4. Step 4

Wear these breastfeeding tops under button up shirts, cardigans, and jackets. You do not need to continue to wear maternity clothes that do not make you feel fierce, simply because they are breastfeeding tops.

  5. Step 5

Pair your new breastfeeding tops with nice separates that you already own. If you have not lost any weight yet, choose stretchy pieces that look nice and never need ironing. For example look for brands similar to Chico's or Boston Proper traveler sets.

Tips & Warnings
  • One dark colored breastfeeding tank can be worn under several different outfits.
  • Wear thin nursing pads that are reusable and made of natural fibers when going out to prevent staining. Look for pads made of soft wool, hemp, or cotton.
