Booting from CD is a useful tool that will allow you to set up operating systems and other useful tools.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Boot-able CD such as a operating system I.E Vista or Xp
  1. Step 1

    First check to see if your bios is set to boot from cd first. Do this by inserting your CD and restarting your computer.

  2. Step 2

    When the computer is booting up, watch the screen for a message that will say "Press any key to boot from Cd" or something similar. Press that button to boot from cd.

  3. Step 3

    If you do not see that message, you may need to change the bios settings to boot from cd. You can go to my "How to change the boot order in bios" page below for more help.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you see a screen that has your computers manufactures logo on it, press the "Esc" or "Tab" to make it go away.
