If you want help prevent painful gum disease and freshen your breath at the same time check out the proper way to floss your teeth.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Pull out enough floss so that you can wrap each end around both index fingers several times to create an anchor.

  2. Step 2

    Pull the floss tightly and insert the floss between two teeth.

  3. Step 3

    Don't just run the floss up and down between your teeth, use more of a "C" motion so you get the floss in between the gum and tooth just a bit.

  4. Step 4

    Do this until you have cleaned in between all teeth.

Tips & Warnings
  • Rinse with a mouth wash after flossing to remove particles you may have loosened with the floss
  • Using mouth wash is not a substitute for flossing.
