How to Bake Delicious Brownies from a Box

Baking delicious brownies doesn't have to take a lot of time or effort. My brownies have been called Death by Chocolate and are so thick that some people confuse it with cake! Here's how to make to-die-for brownies! Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • 2 boxes of Betty Crocker Original Supreme Brownie Mix
  • 2 1/4 cup water
  • 2 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • at least 1/2 cup of chocolate chips

Instructions

    • 1

Heat oven to 400 F. Grease bottom and sides of 13 x 9 inch pan with cooking spray or shortening. I prefer to use PAM myself.

    • 2

In a medium bowl, stir brownie mix, pouch of chocolate syrup, 1/4 cup water, 1/3 cup oil, 2 eggs for 50-75 strokes. Add in 1/4 cup of chocolate chips. Pour into pan.

    • 3

Repeat step 2 with the second box. Just reuse the same medium sized bowl.

    • 4

Add some additional chocolate chips to the top of the pan, trying to spread them out somewhat evenly. You don't want them all clumped together in the middle!

    • 5

Bake approximately 35-45 minutes or until toothpick comes out almost clean.

    • 6

You only have to wait fifteen minutes if you enjoy your brownies nice and gooey and warm. Otherwise, cool completely and enjoy your death by chocolate brownies!

Tips & Warnings

  • If the toothpick is inserted into a chocolate chip, it will certainly not come out clean even if the dessert is done.

  • Make certain not to overcook the brownies. Better to slightly undercook than overkill.

For one box, you heat the oven to 350 and bake the brownies for 28-30 minutes. For this recipe, I upped the oven temperature and they bake longer. Hope that clears things up!
