How to Find a Nintendo Wii Fit

One of the big ticket items this year for Christmas will be the Wii Fit game. It is still relatively hard to find the Wii console, but try finding this game! Since Wii Fit was released, it has become pretty hard to catch one in stock. I visited the Best Buy store closest to me this week and inquired about the Wii Fit since I didn't see any on the shelf. I was told they had received 26 the day before but they were sold in 30 minutes!! Here we go again!

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • internet
  • time
  • patience
  1. Step 1

Here is the tool you should use to get a Wii Fit. It's really pretty simple to remember: http://wiitracker.com/wiifit/

  2. Step 2

Visit the site above. It lists each major store that carries Wii Fit. All the stores that currently have them in stock are listed at the top in green. You may want to scan the rest of the page to be sure. Sometimes I have seen them list in stocks further down. Click on the green highlighted areas and that will take you straight to that store's page. You can also view the history at the bottom of the page to see what you missed out on.

  3. Step 3

You have to be fast with your clicking and monitoring. Sometimes wii tracker.com/wiifit/ will show the item in stock but going in to the store will actually show them out of stock. Truly, they sell out that fast. A store may get 30 on a given day, and sell out within the hour of receipt.

  4. Step 4

Be persistent with wiitracker.com/wiifit/. If possible keep it open all day at work, home etc.. Refresh the page every so often and monitor.

  5. Step 5

Make a list of some of the stores listed on wiitracker.com/wiifit/ to see if any are near you. Sears, Best Buy, Circuit City and Sam's are all listed. Call these stores each week to see if any have been received and ask what day they typically receive them. Also go online to these stores, type in Wii Fit in the store's search bar and see if they show any in stock. Some of these stores have an option for you to receive an e-mail when Wii Fit becomes available. Use it.

  6. Step 6

Take advantage of the Bill Me Later feature some of these stores offer online. It's like lay-a-way but you get the goods in advance and then have three months to pay it out.

  7. Step 7

It's like anything else in life, just be persistent and you will persevere.

Tips & Warnings
  • Update: I was able to buy not one, but two Wii Fits using this method. One has been received and the other should be delivered shortly.
