make a Grim Reaper for Halloween.

Halloween is a great time to be creative with decorations. If you make most of your decorations, you can save alot of money!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Skull
  • Skeleton hands or gloves
  • black cloth
  • black long sleeved dress
  • two sided flower hanger
  • pins
  • aluminium foil
  • cardboard
  • dowel rod or broom handle
  • tape
  1. Step 1

First, stick your plant/bird feeder hangers into the ground (If you dont have one with double hangers, tape two together.) The taller the better!

  2. Step 2

Tape either a stick or medium sided dowel in the middle (this is where the head will be).

  3. Step 3

Now cover the hangers with either a long black dress (as shown in the picture), or use black fabric and drape. Secure with safety pins.

  4. Step 4

Next, add the head, (do not use a ceramic or glass skull, use the cheap $3 styrofoam ones); push down slightly over the wood for security. Use black cloth to drape around head as a hood, secure by sticking pins through cloth, into the skull.

  5. Step 5

Now the hands, in the picture, I bought black gloves with skeleton hands on them, these work great, just pin them to the sleeves of the dress.

  6. Step 6

The sickle: Use a large dowel or broom handle as the base. Cut out the sickle shape from cardboard, wrap with aluminum foil. Secure around pole with tape. Staple or secure with tape, one of the hands to the dowel.
