Step 1
My 10-year-old cat was use to dry cat food, and was not willing to switch over to a wet food. I tried taking away his dry food, but he still would not eat the canned food. I gave in before he did!
-
Step 2
The vet let me know that after many studies they found through research that wet food is better for your cat's urinary system. It does not have all the grains and is easier for their bodies to digest it. This means less blockage, and few urinary problems.
I researched online different techniques to get a cat to switch to wet food, and I found a way that worked for my set-in-his-ways feline! -
Step 3
First you will need the wet canned food and a can of tuna.
Then add a spoonful of tuna to each spoonful of cat food and mix it together. My cat devoured the food, and previously he would not even touch the wet food.
Next time you feed your cat give less tuna to cat food ratio, and so on, and so on, till your cat is down to just his food.
This is what got my cat eating his canned wet food. Still every once and awhile for a special treat I'll add some of the water from the tuna can to his food, or even some tuna!

on 11/25/2008 My cats eat everything from lizards to mice. When my girl had urinary problems after she finished her meds, I switched to9 Lives Plus care (helps maintain healthy urinary tract health.) She has been good ever since! You also can give them cranberry fruit powder.
