Whether you have a fresh flower arrangement of flowers in a vase or a fresh flower Christmas wreath, you want it to last as long as possible. Here is how you can make your arrangement last longer

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Commercial plant protector
  • Water
  • Knife
  • Pruning Scissors
  1. Step 1

Apply a commercial plant protector to your fresh-flower arrangement following the instructions on the product. This will help to minimize the moisture on the arrangement which will help it last longer.

  2. Step 2

Water your arrangement on a regular basis. If it's flowers in a vase, make sure to add fresh water often. If it's a wreath, then place the wreath over the sink and pour a cup of water over the arrangement. Allow the water to soak in.

  3. Step 3

Revive fresh flowers and foliage by submerging them in cool water for about 5 minutes. Pull any limp elements out of the arrangement and revive them with water and place them back in the arrangement.

  4. Step 4

Gently scrape about 1 inch of the stems to help it absorb water more efficiently.

  5. Step 5

Remove any dead items from the arrangement or cut off dead leaves or sprigs to keep the fresh-flower arrangement looking nice and clean.
