Step 1
Everyone has different views on what a country wedding actually is.
Some folks consider a country wedding, one that is held in a barn with country music to line dance to; while others feel that it means a wedding that held in a small town church with the reception held outside. -
Step 2
The bride can wear a white country flowing dress with white cowboy boots, and the groom can wear a new pair of jeans, a white shirt, belt with belt buckle and bola tie.
-
Step 3
The wedding decor should match the western theme......
Wild flowers, daisies, small sunflowers, can be put in a rustic basket.
The bridesmaids and flower girls can carry their flowers in baskets, or they can be carried in small bouquets that can be tied with printed or sold fabric bows for a western, rustic theme. -
Step 4
Wreaths made of straw will give a casual western feel and will dress up walls.
Flowers and ribbon can be added that match the color scheme of the wedding. -
Step 5
Hire a band that plays country music. Or hire a DJ that has the latest country hits, as well as the oldies country songs.
-
Step 6
Decorate the table with a country flare. Use cloth table cloths in plaid, or floral patterns.
Use a rustic basket to keep the napkins, and flatware in. -
Step 7
To stay with the country theme, your food can consist of fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, fresh salad, sweet corn on the cob with butter and bread with jam.
-
Step 8
Think of a unique centerpiece; such as wild flowers in a western boot.
-
Step 9
If you are having your country wedding in the fall, you could use pumpkins & squash to decorate with, or corn stalks to add charm.
You can place nice juicy red apples in a rustic basket.
If you are getting married in the spring or summer, pick vegetables & fruits that are in season to decorate with. -
Step 10
For a real country feel, use hay bales to decorate with, and if you have a horse or special farm animal, have photos taken with them!

on 10/3/2008 Like the way the country theme stays true throughout the whole wedding & reception. Makes me hungry for fried chicken and doing a couple turns on the dance floor!
