Things You'll Need:
- Legal working status
- Ability to carry/lift 30 pounds
- Shouting voice
- Basic mathematical skills
-
Step 1
Vending is considered as a part time job. Usually taking place in the evening and on the weekend. Its a perfect way to add between 30 and 200 dollars to your daily income.
-
Step 2
Most stadiums hire vendors during hiring fairs held during the offseason. Before a season begins, call up your local arena or ball park and ask if they are having hiring fairs.
In year long stadiums, they usually will hire before the first major league season held there, often in August. -
Step 3
Go to the hiring fair and tell them what you are interested in doing. If you already have a job, you can usually still work at the stadium in some capacity.
-
Step 4
If the vendors are unionized, you will have to join their union. The fees for vendors are worthwhile, especially commission based jobs as it is traditionally a CASH only job - some employers may try to 'lose' some of your wages.
-
Step 5
If there is no hiring fair, ask a vendor as he walks through the crowd how he got his job. There are usually commissions for finding suitable vendors- they will be glad to help!
-
Step 6
Go to work, keep track of your inventory and your cash. When vending in the seats, hold cash in one hand, folded across the long section of the bill, with 1's and 5's on t he outside, large bills in the middle.
-
Step 7
Work hard, keep your feet moving, and keep vending your product and the commissions will roll in!
