      If you start your cabbages from seed great! Start some Marigolds at the same time. If you buy seedlings you can still start the marigolds from seed. But I would recommend buying a few seedlings right away.

      Plant your cabbages a little farther apart than usual 24" or more. plant the marigolds around the patch. Then sow some Marigold seeds in-between the cabbages.

      The marigolds will Keep off most bugs with no nasty pesticides. They will also discourage rabbits "usual" I harvest my Marigold seeds year to year.

Tips & Warnings

  • Rotate your crops, don't plant in the same spot next year.

  • I also attract birds to my garden to keep the moths down.

  • Your cabbages will be a bit smaller, but poison free
