In most states, the Attorney General is the person who gives legal advice to the state government. He or she acts as the chief law enforcement officer and oversee public prosecutions. Here’s what to do in the event that you need to contact the Colorado State Attorney General’s office.

  1. Step 1

    Learn about the AG's office. While varying from state to state, the typical responsibility of the Attorneys General’s Office include the ability to be public advocates in child enforcement, consumer protection, utility regulation and antitrust actions. The Attorney General’s Office can also represent the state and state agencies in court, oversee criminal appeals and statewide criminal prosecutions, enforce federal and state environmental laws, handle civil suits on behalf of the state and otherwise represent the state’s interests.

    Visit the Colorado Attorney General’s offices at 1525 Sherman St., 7th Floor, Denver, CO 80203.

  3. Step 3

    You can reach the Colorado Attorney General’s offices by phone when you cann (303) 866-4500. There is a special consumer complaint line that you can call at (800) 222-4444.

  4. Step 4
