Step 1
FREELANCE WRITER
Writers can get started with just a computer, mailing supplies (stamps and envelopes) and a copy of Writer's Market. Write articles and submit them to magazine or website publishers. Writing takes lots of practice and you will get tons of rejections, but one really great article can pay you $250 or more. -
Step 2
RUN A BABYSITTING SERVICE
Get a list of tees and young adults in your area who want to babysit. Put the list of names and numbers on your computer, and offer a service to families looking for sitters. Make up simple flyers on your computer and post them in areas of the community. Families will call you and you will connect them with an appropriate sitter. You call around and ask sitters on your list and charge either a % of the sitter's fee or a flat fee per call. You will need to provide occasional training courses and cpr certification for the sitters. All you really need is a phone line and computer to get started. Simple! -
Step 3
CRAFTER
If you love to make cute country crafts, try selling them in ebay or at local flea markets, fairs, and shops. You will need business cards and materials for a batch of crafts. If you have crafts around the house, sell them, and use the money to buy more materials.
